By working closely with the ready mix plant designer/fabricator, Staclean was able to incorporate the necessary nuisance dust collector directly into this installation. It maintains a clean work environment with no handling by personnel, maximizes production, eliminates waste, and allows all raw materials to go into the mix. The baghouse is custom to the requirements of this sized plant and designed into the work flow of the raw materials.

This project is the second of two baghouses that Staclean built for a components manufacturing plant in Georgia. Our team designed it with a dirty-air-plenum inlet because their manufacturing process involved extremely light dust that had the opportunity to drop out directly into the hopper section as it entered the baffled plenum at a low conveying velocity. The filtering path of the internal air-steam had virtually no upward velocity to avoid re-entrainment problems. We also built a spark arrester into the building ducting system.

This packaged concrete producer in Nebraska needed a baghouse to vent their fluid-bed dryer. It was crucial for the function of the dryer to maintain a constant slight negative pressure at its outlet across variable production situations. To accomplish this steady pull on the dryer, Staclean used our top-down hi-inlet design to bring the dirty air-stream into the baghouse. This design required a shorter ducting run for the dryer-to-baghouse connection and therefore less heat loss to help avoid internal temperature excursions and opportunities for condensation. By maintaining a constant pressure drop across the filter bags, we were able to simplify the operation of the dryer.

This fully assembled baghouse was shipped to a concrete products manufacturer in Georgia. Staclean offers a turnkey solution when freight costs permit the hauling of pre-assembled baghouses from our manufacturing facility. By utilizing Staclean's turnkey services our customers can save over 100 hours during the onsite erection phase. This pre-assembled unit was shipped ready to be set in place and bolted to the support pad. The Staclean team provided detailed installation instructions, along with a customized grouping of components including service platforms, ladders, ductwork, the fan arrangement, bags, cages, and Staclean diffusers. The baghouse was quickly ready for electrical and compressed air connections and startup.

A repeat customer challenged Staclean with designing a fluid bed dryer baghouse that could connect a service building to service platforms around the baghouse. Our experienced and knowledgeable team designed a custom solution that included running the primary product belt conveyor through the support structure.

One of our more unusual projects was venting fumes and collecting soot from a copper furnace. The Staclean team designed flexible connections that preserved the furnace's ability to tip and dust lines long enough to allow most by-products to solidify and be captured in an outside central collector. This picture was taken before the flexible connection was installed.

In the aughts, Staclean built a customized baghouse for a chemical company to vent an incinerator that burned by-products from their labs and processes; the filtration process was very corrosive to the baghouse modules.  After 15 years of service, the modules needed to be replaced but the structure and filtration media were still in great working condition.

The Staclean team worked closely with the customer to design new Duplex 2205 stainless steel modules that could be dropped into individual pockets within the previously installed baghouse and work around the existing structures such as manifolds and discharge equipment.  Staclean also applied insulation in-shop.

Four pads held each module in place, each having four bolts.  When the service penthouse was bolted down to enclose the top section of the entire row of modules, all the holes lined up.

Staclean built a custom dust collector for an existing ready-mix concrete plant that would allow them to recycle collected dust back into their concrete production equipment. The baghouse was cantilevered onto an existing structure so weight was an important consideration. Staclean designed a pleated bag unit with full walkways to make the baghouse and fan easily accessible. Dust is pulled from the truck loadout and returned to the mixer, thus eliminating waste and keeping the facility clean.
